I spent the first 20 years of my life growing up in Aurora, IL alongside my sister Katie Hogan, my parents Kevin and Kristin Hogan, and my adorable dog Coady. After I graduated Highschool, I decided to attend Columbia College Chicago in order to get a degree in Animation. That wasn't quite a perfect fit for me, and I quickly realized that I had a way larger passion for graphic design, more specifically, publication design. So, after switching my major freshman year I began taking design classes and pursued my BA in Graphic Design instead. I have been spending these past 4 years in college not only learning more about design, but also falling even deeper in love with all aspects of it. This past year I have had the pleasure of working as the Director of Production Design for The Columbia Chronicle, and once I graduate in the springtime of 2022, I hope to be able to land a job working for one of the many publications that I obsessively follow as a junior designer doing page layouts and other design work for them just like I currently do for the Chronicle.
